The Sandbox, a decentralised gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has partnered with GCEX, a digital prime brokerage that is part of the GCEX Group. Together the organisations are creating an education and client engagement platform within the DubaiVerse. This will be a space in The Sandbox that will house some of Dubai’s major brands and partners.
The partnership provides GCEX with LAND in The Sandbox on which to build and publish immersive experiences for gamers and GCEX’s clients. These include brokers, hedge funds, family offices, and professional traders.
The Sandbox and GCEX will offer an innovative experience to gamers and companies wishing to access the open metaverse. It will educate them on decentralised finance (DeFi) and on GCEX’s digital prime brokerage offering for institutional and professional clients. The collaboration aims to bring to life the history of money through a game set in a magical financial world. GCEX’s clients will also be able to access exclusive content and educational assets.
Joining the greater UAE web3 development scene

GCEX has been granted a Virtual Asset Service Provider Licence for the MVP phase by VARA. GCEX has secured investment from TGV4 Plus.
